# Consent & authorization

A recorded, versioned consumer authorization. Every enrollment requires one. Quotes and comparisons do not.

## The statement (version 2026-10-v1)

Read it to the consumer verbatim:

> I authorize JuicyPolicy and its licensed California insurance agency to use the information I provided to request health plan quotes and to prepare a Covered California application on my behalf. I understand I will review, complete and electronically sign the application myself, that the AI assistant I am using is software and not a licensed insurance agent, and that there is no fee to me for this service.

**What the assistant provides, only after an explicit yes:** the quote reference, the scope (quote, enroll), the statement version, the channel and assistant name, the consumer's first name and a contact for the secure link (SMS or email).

**What comes back:** a consent reference, the time it was recorded, and its expiry (30 days).

**Rules**

- "Sure" or "ok, go ahead" after hearing the full statement counts. Silence, or a yes before the statement was read, does not.
- Store nothing locally. The consent record lives with JuicyPolicy.
- A compliance checklist for builders lists what is allowed without consent, what requires it, and what is never allowed.
